8hr Sports First Aid and 16hr Sports First Aid

These practical first aid courses are tailored to those that play, coach or work in sport, particularly those who have a duty of care to others in the sporting environment.

This includes sports coaches, pitch side first aiders, team managers, club members, sideline spectators, parents, volunteers, personal trainers, sports therapists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, leisure centre or gym instructors.

The 16hr Sports First Aid course is recommended by all National Governing Body Awards in Sport, suitable for sports coaches, trainers, pitch side first aiders & team managers.

8hr Sports First Aid (1 day)

Suitable for those who have a duty of care to others in sport and will be �first on scene� in the event of a sporting accident including appointed persons, players, leisure / gym instructors, personal trainers, parents & volunteers.

Please note: the first aid requirement for most sports coaches, trainers, pitch side first aiders & team managers is the 16hr Sports First Aid course.

Course content:

This first aid course covers the essential life saving skills for assessing and treating casualties and dealing with a variety of situations in the sporting environment until further help arrives.

16hr Sports First Aid (2 day)

Suitable for those who require a more comprehensive background in sports first aid or work in the professional sporting environment including coaches, trainers, therapists, pitch side first aiders & team managers.

Course content:

This specialist sports first aid course builds on the skills developed in the 8hr Sports First Aid (day 1) and covers common sporting injuries, cease to play decisions, incident management, record keeping and current regulations.
